Rent twice for two days each, 7/1-9/30 and get a free day

I received in the mail the following notification:
Our new state-of-the-art computers systems are up and running. Check us out by renting now...and enjoy a free rental day!

Rent with National in the US for two or more days, at least twice between 7/1 and 9/30 and you'll earn a free rental day certificate.

smallprint: must be present Emerald Club membership when making reservation. Certs delivered 4-6 weeks after 2nd rental. Certs may be combined for up to a 7 day rental. Must be redeemed by 4/30/2000 on compact-Full size 4 door
I think that the promotion code is EC918, as that is what is printed in small letters at the bottom of the postcard I got. Call 800-328-1234 for more info.

Excellent! Many thanks. I should be up to the 7 day limit in no time. Does it indicate if you can have multiple 7 day rentals?

Thanks,

Ken Hamer

If this promo is based on the "state-of-the-art computer systems", then it would not be available in Canada.

We (in Canada) are still using the GreenWay system (very bad!). We will be going live on the new US Odessey system on October 31st, 1999. This will eliminate many of the problems with one-way US-Canada or Canada-US rentals, as well as Emerald Club mis-service issues.

Yes, as stated above, it is for the US only.
