Ford Explorer 2016 is SD card dependent. Pick one up on ebay, keep in the travel bag and use with your Ford rentals.

The 2016 (or is it the 2015.5) Volvo XC60 and V60 Cross Country both have nav, not sure about the S60.

Have you tried this in other Fords with MyTouch? The MyTouch has been SD card dependent since inception, and I've tried your method under what I thought was a brilliant idea in 2013 and still get just a compass in the top right in every car I think to try, including my last Fusion rental a couple months ago. No navigation system. Have been told by dealers that the Navigation has to be purchased/activated in that particular car... just having the map SD card won't make it work.

If this changed in 2016, then here I come Ford Limiteds/Titaniums!

Smile 2016 Ford Explorer, Limited, 3.5

Please add 2016 Ford Explorer, Limited.
It has built in GPS, easy to use, big screen.
However, the link between it and my iPhone is not very good. (To play music)
this rent was during Oct, 2015, Michigan, DTW
BTW, 3 days, drove 1600+miles. The original was about 2K

Wonder if a moderator could facilitate someone else taking front-page editing capabilities for this thread... I'm not renting nearly as much these days and, as such, spending less time here in the National area. Sorry for dropping off the radar and hopefully someone else can pick up the ball and run with it.

Maybe its time this thread was unstickied and a new one started. A lot of the cars listed are no longer offered by National/Alamo plus information about android auto and Apple carplay would be useful.

Other than the Dodge Dart Limited, nearly all of these are still in service in some form or another.

As for your other point, we already have a Carplay thread.

I have seen some Ford Expeditions at National that did NOT have navigation (or a touch screen or leather, for that matter).

National's Dodge Durango GT has nav based on several that I've seen.

Couple of quick updates from my personal experience.

2017 Camaro SS did NOT have on-screen nav. It only had an option where you call on-star and they set the address on their end and it sends it to the car via voice-enable commands as you drive....very annoying and weird. One dude couldn't spell Cosmopolitan hotel in Vegas and yeah....

2017 GMC Yukon SLT (rented from ITO last weekend) does have full on-screen navigation.
