I booked a Luxury car here this past Tuesday (sub $300/week, cheaper than full size at the time of booking), and got a BMW 330. Not nearly as cool as the 740i I got a couple months ago or the 5-series I got a few weeks ago, but still a decent ride and very low mileage. Didn't see much of anything else on the lot though. Will likely keep the BMW for 2-3 weeks and do some touring.

Anyone been to DCA recently? Has the selection improved?

You'll be seeing a lot more of that I reckon - higher mileage in the better specs & then poverty spec blandness in anything new.

That's awfully disappointing. I was hoping that as the DMV region starts to reopen the vehicle selection would improve.

Did it look like they were more extensively cleaning the rentals?

It had a card hanging from rear-view mirror indicating it had been cleaned to higher standards but I did find some spare change in the door panel so.....

Sunday 9pm

1 x CX5
1 x Equinox
1 x Malibu

Was dropping a one way back (a Mini Countryman which I'd surprisingly highly recommend, super drivers car imo) so didn't do a thorough inventory, but that's what looked like everything they had.

I've driven a Countryman once. It wasn't bad on regular roads but dreadful on freeways.

Only 3 cars at 9pm? Disappointing. What happened to DCA's previously large fleet?

I guess they know what they have in the system so they're only putting out enough cars to cover it? I know from FlightRadar that DCA only have ~10 arrivals after 9pm typically these days.

Side gripe: the last WMATA train to the City leaves at 9pm - its not updated on the website, still says 10.45pm

I've never known DCA to have a large fleet. Before the virus I saw a lot of half-empty aisles filled with trash (in one case literally).

Dropping back last night, had 1 x Grand Cherokee and 1 x Malibu in the National section. Yes, literally 2 vehicles.

Enterprise had some, Alamo had some, so I guess you could ask for a different vehicle & they'll pull one up (I've done this in the past & the station manager has pulled up an Infiniti from the Alamo section for me).

But yeah, things continue to be grim/

Wow, that sounds like a big improvement from the previous 2 cars! Brand new too. These were all on the ES?

Yeah all ES.

Best stocked I've seen the aisle in a while.
