Just status matched to EE and I a bit confused.
I booked a compact SUV for YYZ in 3 weeks thinking I would get the free upgrade and get a full sized SUV.
The rental confirmations says Compact SUV, but it also says Emerald Aisle. Will I have a choice between my car and any car in the aisle? Or just what is in the aisle?

Picked up on Saturday Sep 4th at 7:45am
EE status but had nothing left except a Orange 5.0 Mustang Coupe, BMW X2 in premier selection, and Black convertible mustang (I4 Turbo) and another 5.0 Mustang coupe.
Was offered either the Convertible or 5.0. BMW was reserved sadly. Took the convertible as i was driving to YUL and back for the weekend.

Grabbed a white Escape Titanium with 4k km. There were about 6 cars there at the time, another Escape and some of what was mentioned above.
Great service, guy in the booth was great.

September 15th
Picked up at 9:30pm,
Upgrade had a 5.0 Mustang
ES: RVR's, Hyundai Ioniq Plug In, VW Passat (13k), 2 Camry SE, 2 Malibu
EA : 3 Jetta's, 1 Altima SR!, Kia Soul
Jag XE off to the side
Alamo side was SUV's and lots of Mustangs
Took the Ioniq Plug In, 4000km on the clock, new car smell but still not bad, 3.4l/100KM on the way home and i think I'm the first person to take the charger out of the box.

Returned the Ioniq at 8:15pm
Return line full of cars.
Upgrade had 5.0 mustang and Convertible
EA: had nothing special to note
ES: Lincoln SUV, not sure what it was. Possibly an aviator?
Happy to report that the plug-in can last about 50km on pure EV if you don't drive too lead footed. 650KM of driving in totaly i used approx 20L of gas which is amazing. It takes almost 8 hours to charge the battery from it's lowest point at 18% to full but not too bad if you plug it in overnight.
May consider a PHEV later on or EV

Great to see YYZ getting some more plug-in Hybrid's. Hertz this summer has a plug in hybrid XC60 with green license plates. And I rented this BMW X3 Plug in Hybrid recently from National. It takes almost 4 hours to charge on a fast charger and the range is about 30km on a full charge. The Plug Share app is great for finding charger locations. There is a free one by the airport where I filmed this video tour of the X3.
