Denial of cheap ticket SFO-LAS

On 10.10. I wanted to check in for a SFO-LAS Flight with two companions. I was at the airport 2h before departure.
My tickets for about 50 US$ were booked by Travelocity 10 a week before departure. This was confirmed and i got a mail with the itinerary and a National Confirmation Code.
As my tickets didtn arrive by mail at the hotel i called Travelocity three times, the last call was on the day of departure. They said they put "OSI" in my data and so i can fetch my ticket at the national counter at SFO.

The Agent at SFO told me then, that my confirmation code reads only as a reservation and that my tickets were not booked by travelocity until they print the tickets (what they werent able to do for some reason - i think they didnt have enough time as the transmitted the data from Germany to the US an then there was a holiday). Arguments for 45 Minutes did'nt help.

The price for the tickets then should be 270,- US$!!! 220 US$ more than booked! And this for three people!

As this flight was the only possibility I booked just one-way at a travel agency at SFO and just reached the flight in time.

Can anybody help with information about customer service of National? Mail/Fax? Or should I go via Travelocity?

Since National already told you the reservation was never ticketed, the possibilities are:

1. National's system somehow un-ticketed you even though Travelocity bought the ticket.
2. Travelocity told you it bought the ticket but somehow didn't follow through.
3. You thought you bought the ticket but somehow didn't push the final confirmation button.

If it were me, I would rank the likelihood, from greatest to least, as (2), (3), and (1). So I would probably email Travelocity and see what they think as a start.

Unfortunately this is a common occurrence with Travelocity. I have heard horror stories about people purchasing tickets and not receiving them on time and therefore having to pay the current fare at the airport. I only use Travelocity for comparison shopping and the only time I book online is for an ELECTRONIC TKT. Otherwise, I rather go directly to the airline.
