Mr and Mrs Smith A Casa Reale, Bastia, Corsica MASTER REVIEW - THREAD

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay ?
Yes, very much so: we loved this beautiful property with central location, attentive service, excellent breakfast and nice terrace with a view.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

Booked Chambre Grise (Grey room) with shared terrace and got the Chambre Bleue (blue room, larger but without terrace).
The hotel has only 4 rooms.

How are the rooms?
Around 40 sqm. High ceilings.

Very elegantly designed.

Bedroom with very comfortable bed.

Seating area.

Very nice bathroom with bathtub.
Isula toiletries.
No bathrobes.
Heated towel rail.

Flatscreen TV with good selection of French channels only.
Free minibar with water and local beer.

View over the harbour..

Everything immaculate and in very good state.

Very quiet.

Welcome drink (full bottle of wine)

What was good and what was bad?

- Superb property with lot of character
- staff is extremely attentive and smiling
- Excellent breakfast with homemade products (delicious pastries).

- Nothing.

Value for $ or IHG Rewards Points? Would you return?

We had a great stay.
The staff is absolutely charming, the place is superb for the atmosphere and the view from the terrace.

Parking (fee payable) nearby.

The hotel is actually a guest house. For late arrivals, it is best to give advance notice.
