Anybody ever flown high?

I tend to get bored on the SFO-EWR transcons. I've always thought about blazing up before leaving to make the flight more enjoyable, but I'm nervous that the TSA guys would flip out if they smelled anything.

Anybody have any experience with this? If I'm not in posession, what are the possible consequences if a TSA pulled me aside? Also, is there anything about the altitude that makes it dangerous?

on continental airlines or any airline? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif

shouldn't this be in Omni (the former home of the Atlanta Hawks basketball team) or a more general forum? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/mad.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Can't answer that about TSA, but I'm always amazed at the number of backpackers I see in AMS who reek of stuff, yet get through immigration and security with no problems.

I sure hope you're not a pilot!

Im no expert but as long as you are clean there is nothing that allows TSA to stop you. If you act out of line while under the influence the airline can deny you boarding, but this is only in extreme cases. Enjoy

Note: This summer on a layover in ams I tried this out. Was going fine till idiot companion locked boarding pass inside security with hour before flight on a crowded afternoon. Worst buzz kill ever having to talk to multiple csa´s and immigration.

You are more likely to be denied boarding fi the flight is overbooked. Sometimes they dig real hard for reasons to save a buck when overbooked.

This may the better solution, especially if you're nervous about the security/check-in procedure, seen as (as you may well know) the brownies take longer to affect you than smoke. But be careful - well made brownies pack quite a wollop. And the effects last seemingly forever (you'll still be high at SFO).

I mean, that's what I hear.

I'd have to be high to book a CO transcon, unless I was in BF. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Yes. I travel to Asia 3 times a year. After getting over my initial paranoia of going thru security, I now smoke up before every trip. On my last trip, I arrived to find the fight delayed by three hours. I checked in my bags, got my boarding pass and took the Airtrain back to Penn Station (I live 3 blocks from Penn). I re-fired and made it back to Newark on the last Air-train. Boarded the plane 30 minutes later and was feeling happy through the re-fueling in Seattle. Wish I could have re-fueled in Seattle also. Wore off about mid-way to Taipei. Highly recommend.
