shoulda been here first: TOO MANY MILEAGE PROGRAMS- NOT ENOUGH MILES!!!
Hi,
I have miles on tens of different FF programs. I have many Skyteam miles, but all on different accounts. Is there any way to conglomerate them? I want to use the new FlyingBlue promotion: http://www.flyingbluenews.com/promot...omoawards.html I don't have enough Starpoints but I can supplement it with all mileage from the following: Delta (almost 20,000) MilleMiglia OnePass Worldperks and more what can I do? And how can I make sure I have availability?! thanks... |
your situation is not unusual.....i have always enrolled in the ff plan of all a/l's i have flown....there are a lot of threads on this topic.....perhaps someone will point you there or perhaps you could search....
the bottom line is that it isn't easy and you lose a lot in the process... good luck... |
Many threads but to summarize:
- Stay away from Flying Blue, as they gutted their program April 1, 2009 - DL and NW are merging customer accounts later this year - Otherwise, merging mileage is difficult and involves a 50-90+% haircut. You are better off using orphaned miles for magazines, charitable donations, or other small-ticket redemptions - Airlines vary a bit as to whether you can see award availability when lacking the miles to book the award - check the threads. |

Scattered (nugget) miles in 10 FFPs take you nowhere. Welcome to FT! |
