AA One-way using miles
 

I just got an email today that said AA now allows people to book one-way tickets using one-half of the miles (12,500 miles for a domestic one-way). That's a nice feature - I think they're trying to copy Southwest to keep them from taking their market share.

In addition to the AA-focused thread which tom911 linked to above, there's an active more general thread in this very forum: AA sez it'll allow one-way award trips for half the miles.

Perhaps a moderator will close this thread in favor of the others.

To the OP: It's always a good idea to see if a thread on a topic already exists before starting a new one. The Search function can help in this regard, though in this case the existing thread is active and near the top of the first page. With as many members as FT has, you have to get up pretty early to be the first to post about something!
