Current Hotel Promos
Hey everyone,
What are the current promos with hotels right now? ie.. Stay 5 get free night etc... Thanks for the help |
Why not peruse the active topics on the various hotel boards?
|
No problem UpgradeMe. I figured that in MilesBuzz, there may be discussion about Miles Buzz, but I guess I was wrong.
Thanks for the direction. |
Just a heads up with Sheraton properties....
If you register first and then stay by 02/15/04 and pay with a Mastercard, You can get 5000 AA miles instead of Starwood points for your stay. You still will have the stay count toward status and if you are PLATINUM, you can request the 500 Starwood Points as a Platinum Amenity. This is a fabulous deal. Don't forget to bring you AA FF card with you so you can give them you FFN at check-in! Good luck!! |
Check out Hyatt and Marriott forums. Both just announced promos for stay X nights get X points.
|
RunawayNFly, would you be able to post a link for that Sheraton/AA promo....I missed it the last time it was offered.
Thanks, Tom |
Sorry, I just jumped the gun...found the link....here it is...

Do you currently participate in any of the programs?
As a new member, you can probably get HH to give you a 4-stay-X-bonus Fast Track. It used to be 4-stay-50K-Gold status. My wife recently was offered 4-stay-25K-Silver status, but if you call them directly you *might* get something better. Marriott's Stay X Get Y Bonus seems to be variable by status and past stay habits. I got a 10k-for-7-nights offer (I'm Gold). Some other folks got 35k-for-15-night offers. Sheraton's 5000 AA for 1 night is a no-brainer if you like AA miles. (All of this assumes that you have a need for non-Priceline hotels.) |
Choice Hotels (Comfort, Sleep, etc) -- http://www.choicehotels.com/ -- has brought back their promo where you get at least 5000 bonus points, to bring your total up to at least 6000 points, for every two stays, which works out to enough for a free stay after just two stays. And since it's through points, it's not nearly as restricted as, say, Hyatt's program (where you get vouchers that expire quickly and come with a zillion restrictions and only work in certain cities), but of course the rooms aren't as fancy http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif . And if you end up not wanting any free nights there, no problem, since 5000 points can be redeemed for 1000 miles with several airlines (or 2.0 Southwest credits), and so with 10 such stays you'll get 6000 miles (or 12.0 credits) if you choose to transfer instead of taking 5 free nights, and thus be earning an average of 600 miles per stay.
Other chains have other promos which may work better for you depending on what kind of free nights you want where or what kind of miles you're collecting, but with the other programs it's much harder to generalize, because they have such a wider range of factors. |
regarding the Sheraton/AA deal. yea you get the 5000 miles ONLY if you dont give your *wood acct#. If a Plat you can request that they maually send in the 500 *pts as the ameniti gift if thats what you want. BUT you will NOT get any stay credit, or at least I didnt nor did some friends who also did it.
