SPG Bonus -Must convert 20,000 all at once?
 

I'm confused about the SPG bonus that gives you 5,000 extra miles when you convert 20,000. Do you have to convert the 20,000 all at once or once you've converted a total of 20,000 you get the bonus? I would much rather convert the SPG points to miles every time I reach 2,500 miles, but I might be willing to wait until I have 20,000 points if that is the only way to get the bonus.

Yes you do. Normally, I would wait til I reach the 20,000 level and then choose the airline to which I want to transfer the miles in order to get the 5,000 bonus. If you transfer less than 20,000, then the ratio would be a 1-to-1 transfer in most cases rather than receiving the 25% bonus.
