FlyerTalk Forums - just another (one more) opinion

YEs, as many of you, and probably ...chan and our webflyer hosts in the first place too, I was very irritated about the recent happenings on "our" board. But my lack of english as mother tongue makes me very reluctant to make statements on such delicate matters.

But it is not only the language barrier - it is even more the issues on stake: censorship, (mis-)understanding of names, issues of privacy, certain untolerable words used in anger when replying - which I thought I would/should rather abstain from fast (over)reacting.

I am very thankful for this board - and to our hosts that they offer and maintain this platform.

I am very sceptic about censorship in general.

I was furious first about what was asked from ...chan - but at the same time I wouldn't tolerate myself a word used in his response. But I think, and I am glad that the answers (and reason behind it) given are now satisfactory.

I still don't understand why the UA-marketing-research promotion info and discussion and our many false assumptions (and the possibility to earn another 1'000 UA miles) was deleted. In my opinion that discussion showed (also to UA and the involved market-research-agency) weaknesses/security- and information-issues/problems of Web-marketing (real "bugs"). I believe, that showing and discussing such matters on this board is helpful and much better for all involved, than doing it secretly. I think showing such loopholes is helpful.
