Best loyalty program for me?
I'm not sure how to proceed with this situation and may need some help from the experts here.
I live in Sweden and I'm always traveling from Copenhagen airport therefore I choosed to join the SAS EB program. To become a silver user was no problem but I'm not sure that I will reach the gold status at 70k. Now I'm thinking that it could be more rewarding to joint the Luft-Hansa MM program instead since it's easier to reach their different rewarding levels. Also they seems to give their members more back than the EB does. What is you recomendation? I'm rather new in this "lifestyle", I started at this company June last year and heven't been traveling that much before. I will probably travel 1-2 times a month this year. Mostly in Europe but some trips to Asia, U.S and South Africa. I'm greatful for all the help/advise I can get. //Christian |
I´m no expert, but I´ll chime in anyway.
Do you travel mostly with SK or LH/OS/LX etc.? If you travel with SK you will get bonus as EBS and EBG. On the other hand the same applies with a M&M account when travelling on a M&M airline. I have noticed that EB is lousy when travelling inside europe in economy on any other airline than SK. A fully flexible economy ticket with LH et. al will only render 600 points to EB when it will give you 1250 (+bonus) on M&M. Equal earning discrepancy's happens when travelling in business 2 x miles compared to fixed 2000 (+bonus). On the other hand I´ve had trips in business from MUC to EVN on LH which gave me more points on EB than what it gave me on M&M. My conclusion living in Malmö and travelling from CPH on a mix of SK/LH/OS was to switch to Miles and more. Primarily because of the earnings but also because of as a Sen you get access to Sen lounges in Germany regardless of airline flown. |
