Miles for life insurance?

I've certainly seen lots of auto insurance mielage promos over time, but I don't know of any for life insurance.

Is it possible to earn miles on a life insurance policy?

Of course, such a policy may not wind up the most cost effective. But it might, and I'd want to get such a quote into the mix.

Thanks!

KLM do a form of life insurance (meant for travellers - it pays out double if you die abroad), but I don't think it's a general form of life insurance. It's branded as a KLM product, resold from ACE Europe.

You get 2500 miles at sign-up, then 10 miles per € spent.

However, it's not available in the US (nor are KLM FD accounts), so it's probably not a huge amount of use for you. It does show that this kind of thing exists, though...

But then, this is also non-US. Clubcard points can also be converted into BA Miles, at 10x the number of Air Miles quoted.

As someone who works in the insurance industry, my advice is DO NOT choose a life insurer based on frequent flyer miles. There is too much at stake, in terms of premium amounts, flexibility, terms, etc. to consider such a trivial aspect of your choice.

My insurer, USAA, won't take cc's for life policies. I have a supplemental AD&D policy thru AMEX and pay the monthly premium using an AMEX credit card.

I went through insweb.com to find a term life company who most certainly does allow credit card charges for the once a year premium. The company I use is Western Southern. Saved a ton of money compared to going through my employer too!
