Converting Air Miles
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to convert Air Miles into some other form of points, such as BA Miles?
|
Nope - they are completely and utterly useless...
Regards, Alex [5500 Air Miles stand between me and happyness] |
Thanks for your response. I appear to be in the same position.

I can't say I agree they are useless.
The answer of course is - it depends. If you want to fly and haven't got enough, perhaps you should earn some more, just like you would if you didn't have enough airline miles for an award. I may sound a little smug. If so, it's only because I have enough Air Miles to go to Switzerland (where folks live) every year for the next 32 years, or twice a year for the next 16 years ... or once a week for the next 32 weeks. And on that route they are cheaper than BA (1,000 Air Miles = approx 10,000 BA Miles; BA charge 12,000 BA Miles). |

[Yeah - right] c) We don't have a Club contract with BA from LCY. ARRRGGGG http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/mad.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/mad.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/mad.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/mad.gif It takes them 15 minutes each time to figure out that they won't give seats that BA will. They point blank won't issue oneway awards. To boot I earnt these ****ing things at 1 per £20 spend on my (Coutts) CC. Ugggg. Now I'm earning two bmi miles per £1. My problem is that I have Air miles, period. I would a much, much happier man with a balance of zero - like I said, 5500 Air Miles stand between me and happiness. I am in the process of giving away award Club tickets to AMS, CDG & BRU to family [Don't go SleazyJet - here have a CE ticket]. Those at least are decent value. The Air Miles idiots even took away the ability to book Club seats online (Even though they obviously use the BA award availability engine). I guess LCY-GVA with BA is too new to feature in their offers.
You can also use them on AA, BD and others! |
They recently relaunched the website and currently offer Euro/World Traveller and WT+ online.
I asked about booking C tickets online and was told it's coming. |
