Moving to Switzerland - Advice?
 

am moving to Bern, from Texas, next month. Looking for some advice as have not lived in Europe for an extended period of time. Looking for the laydown of airlines for intra european travel ala Southwest, i.e. cutrate, good connections from either ZRH or Geneva. what are some of the words of wisdom from the FF's on this page? Thank you.

If you're looking for low-fare carriers:

Easyjet flies from Zurich to the Luton and Gatwick airports in London, and from Geneva to Paris (Orly), Nice, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Liverpool, East Midlands, Gatwick and Luton in the UK.

BMIbaby flies between Geneva and East Midlands, Cardiff, Teesside and Manchester (all UK locations)

Ryanair does not fly from or to Switzerland.

Air Berlin flies from Zurich to 5 German Cities: Berlin, Hamburg, Dortmund, Dusseldorf and Monchengladbach.

Germanwings flies from Zurich to Koln/Bonn.

Virgin Express flies between Brussels and Geneva

I'm surely missing some others ...
