When would you need to use a debit card when there are plenty of credit cards giving miles, double miles for Everyday types of purchases etc etc ?

Debit cards are for folks who can't get a credit card.

CO is running loads of ads for their debit card awarding miles.

But then you'd have to have CO miles. Which are only good for converting to Amtrak.

Debit cards now come standard with many checking accounts. My husband and I who both have 2 personal credit cards and business credit cards, also have debit cards which we use to pay for everything from dry cleaning, to groceries to our tab at the pub, which then has idine miles posted to our account since the debit card is registered to idine.

I know that Bank of America offers several, but the only one that I am familiar with is the US Airways one. It's really not that great. I carries a $30 fee, earns 1 mile per $2.00 spent, and the enrollment bonus is only 1000 miles. I would definately look elsewhere, IMO.
