Northwest miles no longer valid???

Effective August 1, 2003, Northwest Airlines will no longer participate in the Dividend Miles program. The last day to earn miles for qualifying Northwest Airlines flights is July 31, 2003, and all award travel must be completed by July 31, 2003.
This is what I found on US Air website regarding its partner airline.
Is this true?????

clarification= Northwest will no longer have partnership with this airline for miles.
