Rewards Miles on Ebay?
I've heard Rewards Miles can be bought on Ebay, and then be used to purchase airline tickets. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so is it legal?
Also, I'm looking for some type of travel tips guide with money saving information. Any suggestions? I've come across quite a few in my searches including one at airfarefiresale.com that sounded pretty interesting, but I don't know if it can deliver on all it's claims for such a low price. Tip:30-45 minutes of sunlight greatly reduces jet lag. Try it! |

,,, [re 2nd question] No (a search on the airline's Web site would confirm this)
Airlines are not unaware of eBay, nor are they unable to follow the clues to figure out who's selling the miles. Penalties include canceling the seller's account and telling the buyer, at the airport, that his/her ticket is worthless. (Wanna fly? Buy a new one at full fare.) And yes, it does happen - not every time, but often enough. A seller's reassurances that it won't happen to you will not prevent it. |

My tip, since you mentioned jet lag: Avoiding caffeine and alcohol, and drinking plenty of water, greatly reduces jet lag. Try it! (and that's free!) Welcome to the boards! John |
Well the advice may be free, but the water won't be if he flys US Air :p

But I do notice UA charges a lot for transfer of miles.
