Back in the "day" (when I was new to FF program), my family and I took an international flight. I got 16K miles for the flight (I thought everyone's miles would go under that one account because I booked it).

Needless to say, that was a rookie mistake and I still sometimes cringe at how many more files we could have all gotten. :eek:

Virgin America specifically allows this. I was told so at a ticket counter, and I've successfully received miles. I haven't figured out how to do it online, though.
