War and Hotwire - What Happens
What happens in the event of war to the tickets bought using hotwire? I have a round trip domestic ticket, and the return portion is for next week.
I understand that the airlines are waiving the $100 change fee in case war errupts. Does that include tickets bought using hotwire? Hotwire tickets are usually non-everything (non-cancellable, non-refundable, non-changeable). I am willing to fly back in case the airlines are still flying their planes. |
In this case, it should be OK. I had a friend who bought a tkicket through Hotwire for travel. However, she had to change plans because of death of the relative. She was able to do that, provided that she gave the airlines appropriate documentation to prove her claim, i.e. death certificate.
