DFW-Oslo

I have many AA miles and many Amex MR.

I am interested in a first class award this summer.

What are my best options in order to minimize connections and maximize the possibility of award travel being available?

How exactly is this related to "Discussion of the latest frequent flyer program buzz... " ?

It seems to belong here because it is related to using miles that are not specifc to any program and questions how to best use these miles.

It does not belong in Travelbuzz since that forum specifically states 'non-frequent flyer'

Nevertheless, no one has answered me here and your suggestion on where to best post would be appreaciated.

Your Amex Miles could get you a Delta ticket (AF codeshare) via CDG to Oslo.

AA should be able to get you there (just guessing) via LGW/LHR and BA codeshare.

In 2001, I used award tickets to fly my wife and son to Oslo from DFW. One time I used AA to LGW and BA to Oslo, and the other time I used AA to Zurich and Swissair to Oslo. I could also have used Frankfort as the connecting point, but it is a longer flight. I preferred connecting at Zurich vs London as the airport is much easier to navigate. Any of these can be done with a single award using an AA partner for the leg to Oslo.

I hate to be picky, but this is a pet peeve of mine:

I highly doubt that you could have used Frankfort as a connecting point for a flight to Oslo. I don't think there are any international flight leaving Frankfort. Frakfurt (FRA), yes, but Frankfort (Kentucky), no.

Ok, ok... It's Frankfurt, not Frankfort or Frakfurt http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif
