Miles Posting Times

I just had the opportunity to fly a couple of segments in Qatar Air's business class (which was very nice - hopefully I'll find time to post a trip report in the Mid-East forum) and was amazed to see the miles and points for my first segment had posted by the time I went from the plane to the lounge in Doha! I was checking my account to get some future flight information and saw the update. I checked on landing in Gatwick and the second segment had posted already as well.

Flying mostly CO, I've gotten used to waiting a couple of days for things to post and was truly amazed. What are the posting time for other airlines? Is QA a record breaker, or was this just a fluke?

Delta instantly credits you. I can't think of one flight I had on Delta last year (about 30 segments) that wasn't posted at the time I exited the plane.

In my experience AA usually seems to post about two days after the last segment was flown. Alaska segments for AA miles seem to take about a week.

My flights at united have usually posted within 24 hours and no longer than 48 hours after completing the flight.
