Mileage programs for the Ritz Carlton?
 

Are there any mileage or points programs for the Ritz Carlton?. We're going to stay there in Cancun on Jan 19-25, 2008 and then again next year at a different Ritz Calrton in the Cayman Islands. Any suggestions would be great..

You can convert Diners Club points to Ritz Carlton vouchers.

Diners Club Mastercard, Merrill+ VISA, and American Express Membership Rewards First all offer Ritz Carlton awards. (Membership Rewards First is the version offered with Platinum and Centurion cards only.) Diners has the most attractive redemption rates.

I believe there is also an option to redeem Marriott Honored Guest points for Ritz Carlton stays because Marriott owns Ritz Carlton.

I vaguely recall Marriott having a relationship with Rtiz-Carlton.

If the rules are the same as they were when I stayed at a RC last year, you can redeem Marriott Rewards points for a stay at the RC, but you can't earn points there.

Marriott bought Ritz Carlton several years ago.
RC don't have any points program like Marriott.
But they keep track of repeat customers for upgrades or welcome gifts.

Marriott does own RC. While you can't earn MR point at an RC, you can redeem them. The point levels are quite steep and you need to hunt to find them. They are listed as a "partner" hotel.

this doesn't work in reverse does it? meaning... does ritz carlton credit points to any milage program for staying with them???? thanks.

No. No points unless you pay with a credit card that gives them to you.
