TSA Working For You!
The following story about Southwest and its penguin promo:
http://www.usatoday.com/travel/news/...a-penguins.htm It talks about a promo they have in conjunction with Sea World where there are two live penguins on the flights. This program was suspended after September 11th and they want to start it up again. The TSA in its mandate to protect you have asked the following question: `Would it be possible that we would be able to wand the animals?' Doesn't this make you feel so much more safe? |
Oh geeez!
"Southwest has been informed that whatever animals would be brought would be subject to wanding at the security checkpoint. SeaWorld officials say it's OK for the animals to be wanded because the penguins travel well and are used to being handled." The poor penguins! btw, this should be posted in the "In the News" forum. I just found this thread.
The In The News thread is here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum...ML/005739.html |
This post does not fit in "Miles"Buzz. It is either for the TSA "Security" forum or "In The News". As it already has a new link (thanks, xyzzy), I'm closing it here.
