Welcome to Flyertalk! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I'm not really sure this is MilesBuzz appropriate -- it isn't about the accumulation of miles and points.

However, let me give you a brief answer anyway.

The site in question works perfectly well for me
http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/people/...leo/frame.html

It's a great tool for finding flights and in particular for finding fare class availability.

Now, http://www.flyaow.com/classavailability used to be useful for the same purpose but it does seem to be gone. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

For newbies, why is a tool like this useful?

You might want to check loads on a particular flight to evaluate your chances of an upgrade or bump.

You can even check upgrade fare classes with some airlines (such as Alaska, Mexicana).

It's also a quick and easy way to find airline schedules, rather than using cumbersome booking tools like an airline's website, Expedia, etc. It doesn't give you pricing, but it does display flights.

It can also be useful in constructing mileage runs. Say that you're looking for a T fare between LAX and JFK. There are all sorts of available routings, but each flight you pick is going to need to have availability in the T fare bucket or else the itinerary won't price the way you want it to. This tool can help you find the right flights.

The site is still working as expected -- I've just been using it myself, in fact! It gets a couple hundred users per day, which is far beyond my initial expectations. Glad folks are using it and, it seems, find ing it helpful.

See http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...ML/008314.html for more discussion about the system and some small enhancements I made just last week.
