Need 3 CO segments
Hi All,
Am new to flyertalk, and was looking for some assistance. I am currently platinum with Continental, and have worked out that I will be on 57 segments by the end of the year - so 3 short of gold. I need to fly out of FLL or West Palm - does anyone have any recommendations on the easiest way to get the additional segments - I was looking to fly "somewhere" on friday 14th december - I thought the easiest could be to fly FLL-IAH (I fare outbound, and Y fare return - therefore 3 segments). Any useful comments would be welcomed. I am guessing that you can't just buy the segments?? Thanks in advance Joe |
You could do a quick roundtrip FLL-EWR-PIT for $139. Seats available this Saturday 12/8.

Thanks Captainmiles - really need to travel on that friday (14th December)..

Have been giving this some more thought - as I am currently flying to EWR.. I could get the US Helicopter to midtown (TSS) - does anyone know if this would count as an Elite point/segment? If it does, then I can just use this 3 times, and I don't have to waste a day flying somewhere.

Seems you CAN trade in 80,000 HHonors points to buy a ride, but doesn't seem like they partner with anybody in the traditional sense.

Just had it confirmed from CO that the USH service from EWR to TSS is valid and will earn you 1 elite point/500 miles - so looks like I will use it 3 times to get the points/segments I need. :p

Welcome to Flyertalk Joeinfl. The Milesbuzz forum is for the discussion of topics related to the latest frequent flyer program buzz.
For future reference, I would suggest posting topics like this in either the continental forum, or the "mileage run" forum. Since you seemed to have resolved your issue, I'm going to close the thread here. Regards, Flipside |
