hotel booking engine

Sometime around the end of December I read a post in which an FTer referred to a meta-booking engine (which I used) which searches a series of about 6 or so other hotel booking engines. This meta-engine arrayed the prices provided by various hotel booking engines side by side for a range of hotels - in my case hotels in Madrid.

Well, I thought I bookmarked this great meta-engine, but...apparently I didn't.

Does anybody know what this meta-search engine is? I'd love to use it in the future. I've searched throughout the FT sites I visited around the time I booked a hotel using it (12/31/02) but couldn't find the posting and my computer doesn't save my history of sites visited beyond one day.

Anybody out there know this engine or remember seeing a reference to it?

I just downloaded this to see what it is like. It's an intriguing tool that produces a lot of rates at properties I would never otherwise look at because the time involved to retrieve the rates is greater than my interest in the property.

Cons: It's missing Orbitz and Travelocity. Two HUGE booking engines.

Pros: It has a nice interface and produces a large list of available properties. From the list of what's available, I can better assess my Priceline opportunities as well as search for lower rates on the big booking engines and/or compare against hotel-points-earning rates at the chain websites.

This is the engine Iwas looking for. I used it for Madrid and it was very useful and comprehensive. I ended up booking through Turbotrip, which I had never heard of before, but saved $25/nt over the hotel's cheapest quote. Thanks.

It works for much of W. Europe and some Carib and Australia and other places. There's a list on their help page. I found it very useful.

Thanks for this one doglover. I missed the original thread, and this appears a useful tool.
