Where to find Realtime Internet Departure / Arrival Information

I am unable to confirm that my son's nonstop flight from JFK has departed New York.

Is there a generic flight departure/arrival engine that lists this information.

I know many of the airlines have arrival/departure information posted on their websites (but sometimes the info is not updated or realtime)

Any info would be great!

Or just try Expedia. Choose "Flights" and then choose "Flight Status" ...

Thanks for the info. The site you posted (here one minute/gone the next!) let me find out about the following 30 minute delay:

http://www.jfktower.com/flightinfo.htm

General Departure Delays: Traffic is experiencing gate hold and taxi delays lasting 15 minutes or less.

Thanks again

By far the best I have found is flight tracker, which also tracks domestic flights on a map of the U.S. in real time. This is done directly from FAA transponder radar data so it is independent of the airline. It's also updated very often.

Click on

If for some reason you are not on the flight tracker home page -- they seem to be able to make an ad come up many times -- click on "travel resources" and then "flight tracker."

As this is not "Miles" related, I'm going to move the thread to "TravelBuzz".
