i have held off purchasing my ticket for the boston get-together on mar20, because i was unsure of my schedule until now; but i have been keeping an eye on airfares.

about a month ago, the new orleans-boston fare was about $250, just yesterday - $210, and lo and behold, a new fare appeared today for $194. for once, my procrastination paid off! see y'all in boston.

I'm STILL waiting for that ridiculous $1100 Hawaii fare to come down to the $700 that I KNOW it will before buying for the P.I.P.!!! Of course, by then it may be too late to upgrade...

Same thing happened to me too. I am taking a trip out to San Diego this Friday and didn't purchase my ticket until 14 days prior to the departure date (mostly due to laziness). At the time I reserved my ticket, it was $295. By the time I actually bought the ticket, it was $192.50. Yippee! That's by far the cheapest coast-to-coast fare I have ever purchased.
