2002 YTD flight miles
With all the talk about business travelers flying less I had an active year in the air with at least 175K domestic credited flight miles.
Anyone else? What have we got for YTD flight miles? |
Had my highest total ever at slightly over 150K.
|
Around 165K - which is my highest ever.
|
About 230.000 including roundtrips FRA-HKG (opening a new office there) and three times FRA-SYD ....
Hope 2003 will be less flying ... |
I will close 2002 with 125,219 actual miles on Northwest and 2,991 actual miles on American. I flew more in 2002 than in any previous year.
|
My most active year also.
All airlines, paid: Approx 260,000 air miles -plus- All airlines, free award travel: Approx 60,000 air miles. [This message has been edited by PremEx (edited 12-22-2002).] |
235,000 last year down to about 180,000 this year. Sme number of trips, clients were just closer

This is not quite in the league with most of you, but 2002 was definitely up for me.
From 1984 to 2001, I averaged 71K+ each year. For 2002, I was over 100K (102k+) for the first time. |
Gosh, you folks are in the big leagues, indeed. The bad news is that my miles are way down this year. The good news is that I've been spending a lot more time at home.
|
About 180K miles flown (103k AA, 61k AS, UA, DL,WN the balance), my most active year ever. Plan to only fly about 150K next year.

112K, all for pleasure though not all pleasurable. Probably going to fly 30% less in 2003 (stay put longer, rather than short sorties all over the place), even in F flying is getting to be a drag. Those of you doing more than 200K a year have my respect and my sympathy.

Too many miles this year (214,000+ on American alone). I plan to do a heck of a lot less flying next year.
I am basically pruning most of my DC/NYC shuttle flights. [Delta loses 30 to 48 of these roundtrips, which were already a large pruning from 1999 and 2000.] I also plan to prune back on my US-South American flights and those site visits will be semi-monthly. [UA loses 4-6 of these roundtrips annually.] I plan to prune back on my US to India trips [Lufthansa/UA loses 10-12 of these roundtrips.] The only thing that will gain is Europe-India (which will be handed over to British Airways and Lufthansa) and India-US (handed over to BA and Lufthansa). Europe-NYC/DC may gain (if India-US returns are not as cheap as I have been led to believe), and I will try to keep the Europe-NYC on American as much as possible, and thus keep EXP on AA. Max. travel target for 2003 = 240k, with 140k on OneWorld, 60k on Star Alliance, 25k on Delta and a few domestic stragglers (15k)on NW/Midwest Express on my way home to the parents. If things go really well, maybe I can get this down to 130k on OneWorld and 45k on Star. |
About 190K for me this year, if you include both paid and award travel.
|
235,000 miles in 2002 (55% Delta, 45% United, with negligible flying on others).
