Sometimes It pays to be wrong.
 

I was doing a little EARLY CHRISTMAS SHOPPING
(REALLY! I'm want to be done while I have money and before I go to the Party in Paradise.)

So I'm doing it on ClickRewards and one of the places I went was OfficeMax.COm to buy copy paper, printer ribbons, tape, etc.

My understanding was that ANY purchase earns you CLickRewards. So I wrote them.

They responded in about 2 hours (unlike some airline and hotel programs!) and said I was indeed wrong. But here's what they told me:

Thank you for contacting us with your concerns, and we apologize for any
confusion this may have caused.

Unfortunately, only qualifying purchases will earn ClickMiles in our ClickRewards program. A "qualified purchase" is any purchase that earns ClickMiles according to the specific requirements of each participating
merchant's promotion.

Due to the confusion, we will be happy to give you 250 customer service
ClickMiles. You will receive a receipt once the deposit of these miles has
been made to your account.

To earn ClickMiles specifically from OfficeMax, you needed to spend at
least $200, excluding tax and shipping charges.

***OFFER DETAILS:
Beginning February 2nd, there are now two ways to earn ClickMiles at
OfficeMax.com:

Spend $200, Earn 200 ClickMiles
Spend $300, Earn 450 ClickMiles
Spend $500 or more, Earn 800 ClickMiles

I think $200 is a little high for office supplies (unless you run your own company) but I appreciated ClickRewards fast response as well as the extra points.
