Miles program for America West Flight?

I am taking a America West flight this weekend for a job interview. I have never flown them and do not anticipate flying them much in the future due to geaographical reasons. I don't have a Flight Fund account and was wondering if anyone knew offhand if other mileage programs list them as partners?

I am enrolled in DL, UA, AA, US, NW, CO, Qantas for airline programs and Hilton, SPG, Priority club for hotels. I'd rather get miles in any of these than open a new account that I might never use.

Thanks

These partners are for the purposes of earning HP miles.

Out of the airlines listed by BadgerFlyer (DL, UA, AA, US, NW, CO, Qantas), NW is the only one that would allow crediting miles flown on HP into their program (and only for certain flights).

<Edited because I missed the NW opportunity when first posted>

Unfortunately, AFAIK none of the airlines listed by BadgerFlyer (DL, UA, AA, US, NW, CO, Qantas) would allow crediting miles flown on HP into their respective programs.

Can't he get Hilton Honors points with his flight?

No. Not even transfer HP miles into HH points -- HP does not participate in the HH Rewards Exchange (they used to several years ago, but not anymore).

It turns out you can earn NW miles on America West flights. Somehow I missed it the first time on nwa.com.

Thanks!

Thanks for pointing that out. I stand corrected (and edited my post above).

But not unless you leave the 48 states.

BadgerFlyer:

However, NOT all America West flights are eligible for earning NW Worlperks miles. Only flights between US & Canada/Mexico/Alaska could fetch you NW miles and some NW coded and connecting flights. If you are simply flying within the US, I think you are not eligible to earn any NW miles. Follow this link to find the eligible flights.

Unless they've changed it recently, you can get miles in your Virgin Atlantic account for HP flights.

You can now earn Hawaiian Airlines (HA) miles on all HP flights. And HA miles can be converted to Hilton HHonors points.

HA also allows earning from Alaska, NW, and Virgin flights.

Ahhh, that will teach me to read the rules a more carefully. Well, since I am flying between BDL and Phoenix, no worldperks for me. In that case I might as well open yet another airline account, I'll probably just go with America West, since I will have the greatest chance to fly on them again.

Thanks for all the help!

Fair enough, but why not HA?

HA allows complete earning and redemption on HP and add HHonors transferability. So unless you will be flying HP a lot, and can take advantage of HP specific bonuses (like online booking), then HA would be just as good and significantly more flexible.
