Triple SkyMiles With SkyMall
 

This maybe old news but I did a search and came up with nothing, so here goes. In the December SkyMall catalogue (you know the other magazine in the seatback) there is a promo for triple delta miles. I don't have the mag in front of me right now but I assume that you normally get 1 mile for every $ and therefore this promo nets you 3 miles for each $. Furthermore, I imagine that if you use the SkyMiles Amex and make the purchase on a weekend you get 5x miles. As I recall, the offer said no other promotions apply. I would guess that they mean no other SkyMall promotions may be applied concurrently. However, I would imagine that the Amex and SkyMall promotions would be completely discrete. The prices in the catalogue, while not rock bottom, do not seem to be inflated. For example the Bose headphones I want are $299 in this catalogue and are the same at most other retail outlets. Perhaps this year I will start shopping before Dec. 20.

FWIW, one can earn 5 CO miles per $, prior to any credit card-based mileage earning potential being factored in.

Thus, one could in theory earn 5 CO miles & 2 DL miles per $ spent on SkyMall purchases.
