Beverage Service necessary?

Im surprised that the airlines havent caught on to this idea yet but is a beverage service really necesssary for a 60-80 min flight?

Seems the airlines might eliminate the waste, the weight and the whole thing for such short flights?

Anyone see this happening in future?

Funny question.

Some airlines (well, overseas anyway) actually still serve MEALS (even if snacklike ones) on flights of one hour.

Also, even a one-hour flight can be pretty dehydrating.

Howdy,

I'm sure they could save a few dollars by doing this. I must say that on those rare flights to ORD and STL I take, I love the very rare, very few FA's who do a beverage service.

Keep the faith,

I think meal service is the most obvious measure of customer service an airline can perform.

A good hot meal is a good investment for the airlines because te public remember's how they were treated.

My recommendation is for the airlines to provide good quality meals.

You get more with honey than vinegar!

Good Luck1
