United and WorldCom's miles program dead
WorldCom Inc. and UAL Corp., the parent of United Airlines, got court approval to end a program allowing WorldCom customers to earn airline miles for money spent on long-distance phone service.
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Arthur Gonzalez approved the settlement, reached last month between WorldCom's MCI Communications Corp. and UAL. UAL reached a new agreement for a partnership with Sprint Corp. to provide long-distance phone customers the chance to earn airline miles, court papers said. Rocky Mountain News 11/27/2002 |
