United Crew Upgrades

Recently I bought a high economy ticket from Denver to Miami and requested for my upgrade almost a week before my flight. My current status with United is Premier Exec.

Sure enough I was not upgraded till the end and when I boarded the plane I saw almost every first class seat taken over by the Crew members.

Any thoughts on how the upgrade policy works? Does the crew get preference over Premier members?

Wrong forum. Try UA or TravelBuzz.

"UNITED CREW UPGRADES"- we interrupt this program for breaking news! Hopefully someday we'll hear a news flash like "UNITED CREW DECLINES TO SIT IN FIRST CLASS- OFFERS UPGRADE TO CUSTOMER, THANKS THE CUSTOMER FOR THEIR PATRONAGE, AND TAKES SEAT IN ECONOMY- ON THE WAY BACK, CREW HELPS SEVERAL PASSENGERS STOW BAGS AND MAKES POINT OF THANKING THEM FOR THEIR BUSINESS".

No kidding! I have never seen any airline that is more heavy at the first class end with crew than United

If you go to the United board and do a search on "employee class" you will find that this topic has been hashed over many a time.

Check it out.
