Malaysia Airlines AccessAsia Pass
Malaysia Airlines has an excellent deal for anyone who wants to spend a month or more exploring Southeast Asia. The AccessAsia Pass allows travellers to fly to any or all of 25 cities for $747 (U.S.)out of the airline's U.S. gateways of Los Angeles and Newark. The following destinations are included in the
pass: Bali, Bangkok, Guangzhou (Canton), Hanoi, Saigon, Hong Kong, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Phnom Penh, Phuket, Singapore and Yangon (Rangoon). The $747 price is valid through Dec. 23, then increases to $899 from Dec. 24 to May 31. The pass can be extended to 45, 60 or 90 days for an additional charge ranging from $400 to $800. Other cities ranging from Cape Town to Auckland and from Buenos Aires to Melbourne can be added for a fee. These passes are sold only through travel agents. Does anyone know if this travel allows one to collect FF miles and what the FF program for Malaysia Airlines is like? |

I believe their program is not very rewarding unless one flies MH a lot, one of their best perks being the lounges in KUL (officially off-limits to partners' elites, although opinions differ on this subject). |
