Last minute availability on December
 

Ok, So I can't get the route I want now (through the one world group) but was very close - it ended up being 800 miles over their max limit of 35K. Am told by the qantas rep (v. helpful) to try the last minute option phone up in the last week! Has anyone tried this and has it worked for them? Am trying to get to Santiago from Sydney - the most feasible route (I am thinking that volume would be the way) would appear to be via LAX out in early DEC and back early JAN.
