United always switches to a 767/777 from a 757(outer islands) about November. This usually runs into the spring. It is a great money maker for UAL, they get TOP dollar out of all the extra Christmas seats sold for $700-800 ea. coach(from the west coast). We always buy and/or upgrade on the 331 days deal for Christmas in Hawaii.

--Have you looked into Aloha Airlines out of Burbank and Oakland?--This is relatively new service so, although you won't be using an award, there might be some availability--Good luck.

AQ web-special between Burbank and HNL for $277 went up today. (travel through Nov 7th only.)
