airfare coding
Can anyone advise about finding airfares that are: "Y up" and "Q up" fares?
|
In general, if you search for domestic US first class airfares "with restrictions" the lowest fares are actually economy class with an automatic upgrade to first class. These are called Y-UP (or similar) by many carriers.
I doubt this has answered your question, you will need to explain more specifically what you want to know. |

Welcome to Flyertalk, jasjmtch! :) ^
The previous poster gave you the link the easiest way of identifying these fares. If you want to gain a deeper understanding of how airfare works, I suggest going to the MileageRun forum and reading and re-reading and re-reading the stickies in that forum with their many helpful links. Your post is not buzz about earning miles so would be more appropriate in the travel buzz forum. Hopefully a moderator can move it for you. |
Since the question has received some answers, and isn't really the latest frequent flyer program buzz (and thus appropriate for the MilesBuzz forum) I'll close it here.
