Let's put it this way, AFAIK I have a whole lot more miles than any of my very favorite FlyerTalkers (who buy and donate lots of tea) and that is a wonderful thing.

That means that I can just keep on flying over to see them whenever I want for the rest of my life, even if I really do (as my Doc predicts)live to be 104. ^ ^ ^ What could be better than that?

FWIW, we really don't have that many programs:

UA
AS
NWA
AA
SPG
HHonors
Marriott

Hunki may have a small amout (40,000 or so) Hyatt points but I don't know how to access them.

That's it, but we sure do love watching those miles and points accumulate. As soon as we hit 10,000,000 miles and 5,000,000 points we are going to pull the plug, retire and play for the rest of our lives. Amazingly enough, we are just about on track to hit our goals at exactly the point I predicted back when I first joined FT in 1998.

Many thanks to all of you who somehow twisted my mind to the point where I thought such a crazy goal was fun and doable. :D :D You have to love FT!

AA - 54,303 (MM/Gold, Former PLT)
AS - 16,525 (Former Gold)
CO - 0 (Former Gold)
DL - 0 (Former Silver)
F9 - 1,227
HA - 2,456
TZ - 14,000 pts
UA - 22,716 (Former 1P)
WN - 18 credits (I've never flown on WN)

Flyer of all, elite on only one. :(

Pretty sad numbers considering I was once able to maintain (EARN) AA PLT, UA 1P, and CO Gold simultaneously.

After Mr. FF passed on in 2005, traveling just lost its fun side. Traveling alone SUCKS.

chefcaw Apr 13, 2007 4:55 am

AA 130,000 all in the last year
UA 60,000

Glumech Apr 13, 2007 7:23 am

AA - 28,000 (just booked 2 europe rt j class tix at 90k each)
CO - 104,000 (134,000)
UA - 60,000
AmEx - 80,000
*wood - 22,000

How is it possible to have a lifetime total (22K) that is less than the current balance (38K)? Unless it's like me, via CCs! ;) Of my ~210K balance, only 52K was BIS flying! ;)

no magic, my life time miles&more miles (LH, OS, LX) is > 1.2 million miles (only status miles count), my current miles&more balance is > 4 million miles (most of them bonus miles).

I am so sorry to hear about your loss, FloridaFlyers, and can only imagine how hard it must be. My deepest sympathies and prayers are with you.

Traveling alone does "SUCK". Have you ever thought about joining up in a FlyerTalk Community events? That is a great way to meet other travel fanatics. Some of us are kind of crazy, but it sure beats the heck out of traveling alone.

I don't usually save much, more of a spender. My main program is UA with ~90k, some orphan miles in QF 10k and AA 20k.

However, many many years ago I practically joined every program under the sun. In total i probably have around 40-45 airline, hotel and car program cards. It actually paid off, when *A had their 5th year bonus promo, i earned the bonus a second time in a porgram i hadnt used but had a few k miles due to signup bonus, earning me enough to use them all up for an award.

let's hope for another bonus offer: StarAlliance will be 10 years old in May 2007!

Marathon Man Apr 16, 2007 5:15 am

AA ~225k
NWA ~ 36k (expecting another 10k from one promo & 5k from another)
UA ~ about 500 miles when I last checked. Just redeemed 75k.
SPG ~ 40k points

I use the Citi MC for nearly everything that takes MasterCard. I owe someone 90k AA miles though and am about to redeem 60k to fly a summer itin to Europe which I booked late but still got cuz they rule in redemption!

I have also been using my US Bank Visa and do need many NWA miles as the itin to my fav destination is direct overseas

I never had a UA Chase Visa and will order one in June (wife had one). This will give me 25k more or something. I can forget about them for now though... Less on the plate to think about.

Do not have an Amex now (still trying to fix a credit glitch that should not exist and my 3 scores are all higher than 750) but will probably get one in the summer. Wife has one though.

Her miles/points:

AA 60k
NWA like 7k
UA 35k
SPG 35k points

mom has DL miles & SPG points and while we live elsewhere, we set the address to be the same as mom's so it's easier to transfer spg poiints between family.

we have used many miles recently in our worlds, and I cut out the fat in all our past accounts with all other carriers. We thusly have one airline from each alliance now, and everyone can help the other out in the family.

My brothers: one has miles on DL & mariot, and the other has UA, Singapore & I think Hilton (he joined Singapore after already making 1k at UA. oh well)

consolodation is key

:) MM
