Rudi, I must be misreading your post.
The way I read it, you have spent between 5 million and 10 million francs at the grocery store in the past 12 months. (For other Americans, the exchange rate today is about 1.22 SWf per dollar.)
What am I doing wrong?.

Gruezi (= Hi in swiss german)

The 'strategies' to get that many miles (Superpoints) were extensivly discussed on FlyerTalk (in the LX Travelclub Forum).

Here are some links to these discussions:

confirmed 1:1 Coop Superpunkte convertion starts nov-1st

1:1 promotion

Coop Superpunkte 2:1 into miles&more miles

Here just some higlights:

* Superpoints were heavily traded on auction platforms in Switzerland (ebay, Ricardo). I did buy over 30 Million Superpoints, and sell all but 5 Millions with a pretty good margin, as I knew about the upcoming 1:1 promotion period beforehand (and was able to buy those Superpoints at low prices). In fact the 5 Millions that I did convert in the end to miles were about free for me (my margin).

* Coop did run a Peppermint promotion (during the 1:1 converting period) where you got for a double pack of that tea 200 Extra-Superpoints. Here is what I did post then about that promotion on FlyerTalk: having delivered tea now to all charities I could think of, and noticing how difficult it became to find more Peppermint tea, I had to change my strategie for today (Wednesday).

I have two Coop bags filled with (bought yesterday) Peppermint tea = 36 double packages.

I now go to large coop outlets (ZH: Letzipark, Annahof, Bahnhofbrücke, Stadelhofen, Albisriederplatz, Altstetten, Sihlporte, Wiedikon, etc.), fill up one shopping cart with all 36 Peppermint packages and pass by different cashiers one after the other (reentering without even having to pack/unpack the same 36 packages). Maximum today was 7 for one outlet in less than 15 minutes (Annahof). And in total I am now (accessing the Internet from the ZKB at the Bahnhofstrasse, I did need a rest in between) at SFr 3'500.

I wonder what kind of turnover-/stock-balance statistic problems I may have created that way.

May be my lawyer, who i meet anyway tomorrow afternoon/evening as my guest at the swiss tennis open in basel, finds a way, how I can get monney back (without having to give the Superpoints back ...) from Coop for having paid for the same 36 packages well over 100 times by tonight?

I didn't expect to have such an exciting fun-live after retirement ... (and I am glad not to be the Coop Product manager for peppermint tea ...).

Shopping is far less than ordinary. I just earned a pile of miles on CO that way.

My CO account was below 1000 miles after having redeemed for 2 BF tickets to Hawaii. This was mid October.

The holiday season came, and along with it, bonus shopping miles from CO for over half their merchants. I was also targeted for a different promotion for flying and doing other activities via the website.

FF to March. After removing about 20k miles for flights taken, my CO account is currently sitting at 90k miles. Most of it from shopping at the holidays.

If that isn't a good way to earn miles without flying, I don't' know what is, since there are so few other promotions as there were several years ago.

good job earning so much so quickly!!
^

Sadly, however, so many of us do this based on promos and cards that the airlines themselves offer/sponsor, that there are now far fewer seats available for FF redemption than ever before.

Strangely, the airlines say to us, "well, sir, too many people are trying to redeem all their miles. What do you expect us to do, give free seats to everybody? If we did that, we'd be out of business tomorrow!"

my answer (nearly fuming mad at the odacity of this) is often:

"Well, yes ma'am, you people gave us all the miles, sold us all the offers, deals, store codes and promos, and did monetary, rather lucrative transactions en mas with countless retailers and marketers world wide. I actually DO expect you to make good on your promises and lures of free or discounted travel and I expect it to happen forthright. Now, where are my FF award seats? If any OTHER business were so blantantly planning to NOT honor such agreements, IT would go out of business TODAY!"

Fortunately, on AA, you can still get some FF tix. And my speal does temporarily quell the speak of many so called seasoned CSRs.
