SIN-SYD Award
I am looking for JFK-SIN-SYD award travel next summer. I have tons of CO, DL and US miles, so I can use NW for JFK-SIN, but only Singapore and British Airways serves non-stop on that between SIN-SYD. And it looks like AA oneWorld is the only option, for which I don't have any mile. Do you guys know any other option based on my mile pool?
Thanks. ------------------ Guiming Miao ------------ |

Originally posted by tvl4free: I think you can use NW miles on MY via KUL. 50K in Y. 85 in C. 120K in F. I believe that's MH.. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif Also, Emirates should still have a non-stop from SIN to SYD.. and you can redeem DL miles on them. Theoretically, that should work as well. Doesn't DL partner with SQ for awards? How about US and Qantas? Or are their awards limited to what is shown on the webpages? (which is minimal) |
Thanks for the response.
DL's SQ award only applies from US getaways, so I could not redeem SIN-SYD portion. I checked the SIN-SYD schedule, only Qantas and BA do the non-stop. |
Typo, sorry. Maybe DL miles via KE.

Emirates flies SIN-SYD direct 4 times a week. Egpyt Air twice a week. LH has flights on SQ code-share.

You can also use Delta SkyMiles for awards on Malaysia Airlines but they have not listed an award from the US to Australia or between Asia and Australia. You might want to call Delta SkyMiles to find out if you can get EWR/KUL/SYD on one award ticket on MH. If you can, you might just get a cheap KUL/SIN/KUL ticket on your own.
