Radisson Hotels-Part of any program?

Are the Radisson Hotels affiliated with any program - do they give any miles anywhere?

The answer is "yes." I suggest you go to the Radisson forum.

Thanks, I guess I looked too quickly under hotels and didn't see it. It looks like it is it's own program like Hilton and Starwood rather than giving miles to selected airline programs. Is that right?

They have their own program but it is as laughable as their properties. As I recall, after several stays you get a free entree at TGI Friday's or an in-room movie. Yippee!

Last December, Goldpoints was the hottest scheme going. Many fters benefitted, some more than others. Alas, goldpoints (the currency of Radisson awards) doesn't hold that appeal any longer.

Radisson does have some premium hotels and offer some good values, but lags other hotel chains due to deficiencies in the international markets.

I am not a member of this program but I did read about this offer in Inside Flyer.

Looks pretty good if you are planning on staying at these properties frequently.

I looked and the program is even WORSE than the last time I checked.

120 nights (!) required for a non-capacity controlled top property. 40 nights required for one free night at a dump. Cut these in half if you are willing to stay during the low season.

Why even bother?

The goldpoints.com shopping portal still has some decent earning opportunities. Eight Gold Points can be turned into one mile (using the Radisson exchange formula).

Suggest you do some searches on "goldpoints" and "Gold Points" under S.P.A.M., Radisson, and here.

There's a lot of history here (and a lot of disgruntled FTers).

We are staying at the Radisson in Sante Fe as part of a conference. I didn't want to miss something but it sounds like we won't be missing much. Thanks for the good news!

Oh, do we have an answer for you.
Yes, the are affiliated with a program - The Worst One. And yes, they do give you miles, but only after they give you a big headache.

Well, really Radisson hotels itself are not bad at all, and they do have a very fine chains Radisson SAS in Europe and Edwardian in Britain. The problem is - their loyalty program is a disgrace and they have shown a blatant disregard for their only hard asset - customers.

One may stay with'em, but any long term affinity is out of question.

When you stay at Radisson SAS properties in the world(mostly in Europe and a few in the middle east and Asia) you will earn STATUS points on SAS EuroBonus. This means that you can actually achieve EuroBonus Gold without a single flight segment.

LH's miles&more ff-program 'honours' stays with 500 miles.

Rudi Aug 13, 2002 2:12 am

from Randy's Official Frequent Flier Guide book:

Radisson: Members must choose netween miles and points. Earn 500 miles per stay with Northwest Airlines WorldPerks, US Airways Dividend Milwa or Delta Air Lines SkyMiles.

Do I have to sign up with Radison's program if I want miles instead of Goldpoints? Or can I give them my Delta # (the only of the three mentioned that I belong to with substantial miles) amd will (maybe) get miles for the stay. Since it is a group rate they might not give them anyway, but at least it is worth a try. Has anyone stayed at the Radison in Sante Fe, NM?

Just some fun calculations http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

If you are US based you will need 300 nights in 12 months at a catagory 3 Radisson SAS to get a gold card without flying.

If australian or swedish you will need 333 nights at same hotel..

Best case: If you are based in e.g. Italy and stay in catagory 1 you will need 110 nights
