Airlines themselves vary on this. Some are great, somne are pathetic. HOWEVER lots of TAs allow you to peruse complete and detailed fare rules.

As you live in OZ, I presume most of your enquiry relates to fares FROM oz? In which case simply go to www.travel.com.au and type in your origin and destination city, and EVERY fare on EVERY carrier has a box where farss rules can be perused. VERY useful feature.

Ditto for non OZ origin fares on sites like www.travelocity.com etc

I know the ones on travel.com.au, I use the feature all the time.

What I was wondering was for things like travelocity. Which option do i have to choose to see fare rules?

Thanks

1) thank you ozstamps for the link and information

2) goodo it might me helpfull (and more efficient) if you include what you know already (and may be giving informativ links for us others here) when you ask rather generic questions - please.

Have to agree with Rudi there goodo that supplying some specifics saves a lot of time. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

If you wish for instance to check fare rules on flights from La Paz to Lima, well please say so, as most TA sites in English are not going to be of much assistance. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

However I do not see why you cant get www.travelocity to work? I just typed in LAX-EZE for instance and a bunch of carriers and prices displays. Simply click on "BUY NOW" and all the fare rules are there for persusal.

Sorry for being so vague.

Lets' say i wanted to buy a ticket LAX-JFK, and i wanted to maximise on segments. Where could i go to check what routing i can do on such a ticket? e.g. LAX-DEN-ORD-IAD-JFK etc...?

Thanks
hope im understood

Wow goodo. So far this is like extracting TEETH! One tiny step at a time. Any small clue as to WHICH US airline you may possibly have in mind? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

On UA for instance if you select 'advanced' mode you can input those segments and ual.com will give you the price.

ozstamps, let me make myself clear (hopefully). i don't have any plans on travelling anywhere for the moment. no plans lax-jfk (that's why i wrote let's say).

i just want to know if i were, if i could and how i would view fare routing rules on travelocity or expedia etc.

thank you
goodo

As this post is not related to "Miles", I am transferring it to "Airlines, Hotels, Car Rentals" for further input.
