Randy, first of all, you rock...THANK YOU...

On a silly note, the following Clint Eastwood-isms echoed in my head while reading the post:

"Feelin' lucky, punk?" (why, YES, thank you!)

And

"Make my day..." (you did!)

While the comments are appreciated, I really can't say it's us. The credit for this opportunity is really all due to Starwood. It is they who have directed the extention of the promotion. Promotion extentions with US Airways and Continental have also been suggested and are now in play.
Venezuela-Miami likes this.

how long has it been taking for people to get the starwoood points, then convert them to airline points?

If I bought this week could I have my miles by the end of next month?

It seems risky in my mind to rely on a quick transfer. You get the Starwood points in about a week, then the transfer from Starwood to Qantas takes forever, between four and eight weeks. They say it takes between two and four weeks, but nobody in this forum could confirm that.

There are certain rumors on how the actual transfer works, my experience shows me that it doesn't always work like that. I am waiting now for for weeks, Starwood and Qantas don't seem to care as they either don't reply to my faxes and emails or tell me there is nothing they can do to speed up the process, which is Bull****! Randy can do it in less than a week, the big players like Starwood and Qantas need more than a month? Come on!

Today my QF points posted (29 May). They were dated as 'leaving' *wood on 23 April, so that's 5 weeks by my count...

Anyone want to donate a subscription to me? I'm sure the favor would eventually be repaid.

Take a look at this link from the Quantas forum: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum39/HTML/000654.html

Note that according to the last few posts that several people finally had the miles posted to their Quantas today (May 29).

I would like to post a huge "THANK YOU" to johnep1 and everyone else that provided the details for this award in this and other threads throughout FlyerTalk. I just made Concorde award reservations for two at a $10,000 savings each. I'm still having a hard time believing it.

Edited to add the word "each".

Could someone please post what has to be done by when?

If the starwood points don't convert to quantas, are you out of luck? Or does it simply take more time to get on the concorde?
