I just calculated using this Starwood point Coverstion etc that you would need
for a BUSINESS CLASS ticket to INDIA on BA
80K starwood points (purchased @ $60 for 32 subscriptions = $1920)
When you convert 80K to an airline you will get 20K bonus (for each 20K miles you get a 5K bonus). Thus overall you will receive 100K starwood points which when converted into Qantas yeilds 200K miles.
Thus with 200K miles you can fly from North America to India in BA Business class for $1920.
Which I think is a steal !!!

So let me ask..... for people getting many multiple subscriptions, should we arrange some kind of charity-- say a FF support group-- where people can send unneeded subscriptions??

I believe you could get yourself a 21 year subscription if you wished.

And if you use your credit card that gets you mileage, you are even more ahead of the game.

Wild "out-of-the-box" (don't you just hate hearing this overused saying?
) thinking that comes up with ideas to maximize every mileage earning opportunity such as this is one of the best reasons for being a FT loyalist!

You say it, onedog! After hearing about SPG Amex and its benefits here on FT, I went and applied for it, even through I had gotten AA MC last month. Once I get the Amex, it'll become my primary card--and watch the miles rack up.
Thanks to everyone!

Okay, I'm going for it. Just ordered 20 subscriptions to top off my Starwood account. One of my dad's dreams has been to fly on the Concorde. Now it looks like it might come true! Will keep you posted. Thank you all.

I have been considering whether to post this...but if anyone has an extra subscription amongst their 20. I wouldn't mind having a copy to read...it would even make rounds amongst lots of people at work after I got done.
If anyone is offended by me asking, then I will edit the post.
