thanks ozstamps, but my point was for the post from 2ruse, you will not be allowed Concorde travel if you use a QF oneworld award.

Hadn't noticed that note on the oneworld award restriction, but thanks for pointing it out. Yes, oz, curious about the "censor". I had mis-typed the word "discounting", having placed the "o" in front of the "c" which left the inappropriate four letter word inside the larger one! And thus the **** as your quote displays it. I have since corrected my spelling and see the "****" has been removed.

Thanks Lone Arranger for the information, however disappointing! Now I'm re-thinking the whole itinerary - can anyone think of a way to get me to and from the West Coast (or reasonably close) and still incorporate at least 1 leg on Concorde on either the BA-only or a Oneworld award?

My QF Benefits Guidebook, received just last month, shows that mileage redemption under the oneworld Travel Planner is "Not Valid on British Airways Concorde Services." So combination of BA with AA domestic within the USA seems out. Concorde is being redeemed as a British AIrways First Class award.</font>

Sure 2Ruse, take AA from west coast to east coast. BA from east coast to Europe and IB back from europe to east coast and AA again to west coast

2Ruse, I'm looking at all of this, too and evaluating the options from the West Coast.

By the way, using MileMarker I came up with SEA-JFK-LHR as 5850 miles one way. I assume that's how Qantas and BA would count it as that's the actual route you would be flying rather than SEA-LHR. Probably a moot point anyway since the info is that Oneworld Awards can't be used on Concorde according to what has been posted on this thread.

If you come up with another way of doing this, please let me know. I'll gladly share any ideas/info I come up with, also.

I am planning to ticket an award for next summer. What are everyone's thoughts on this action. Aside from them taking the Concorde out of service I should be okay - right?

As noted, Concorde cannot be included on a multi-carrier oneworld award ticket issued by QF [though might be in BA's program], so the only option of flying the Concorde award in question is to use a separate AA or QF transcon award to get to JFK from the west coast. Just cannot be done within the permitted miles [up to 10K] or rules of the QF, AA, BA award options. It will be 25K or 40K depending upon the class you choose [Y or F], if flying on an AAdvantage award, 30K or 60K if on a QF FrequentFlyer award.

Hi,
I think I may have read that you could also buy an InsideFlyer sub and get 3500 miles direct to your BA Executive Club account. If this is correct could someone help me find the info. Your help is appreciated. Thank you.

Just found out my answer. "Mary" at the U.S. frequent flyer center (800.227.4220) asked if the companion is a cousin; as long as the companion is a cousin (first, second (seventh?!)), they can travel on your points.

So have lots of cousins.

Ummm. How clear does it need to be? QF couldn't care less who you "gift" your tickets to, as long as you have enough points in the account.

So..mini-issue here. I just called up Qantas and tried to book a SEA-LHR-JFK 1st class (1st on the way there, Concorde on the way back). She said that it would be 200K, because they calculated back to point of origin. Has anybody had any luck getting around that? Any ideas for close cities to Seattle that would just slide under the 10K rule?
