Resort destination this weekend?

I do not know where to post.. But I would like to go with some people to somewhere exotic this weekend.. Hawaii, Mexico, Miami etc. Looking to budget it, as in miles don't matter. Any links to charters or advice where to go would be nice. Just want to get away quickly, and maybe burn SPG Points...

Try the Westin Diplomat in Florida. Brand new and an awesome hotel. If you are Gold, ask for a corner suite like #2241. Will cost you 10,000 points per night, but worth it.

And there are plenty of cheap ways to FLL which is much closer (10 minute drive) to the Dip than is MIA (try Jetblue, Spirit, etc.).
Also, if you were to catch a deal to PBI (I think that would be Airtran), that one is only 53 miles to the hotel. At one time, I had an apt. across the street from where the Dip was built.

Well, if you get stuck and can't find anything, AA has SJC-LAS for $79RT plus taxes this weekend as a backup plan.

Vegas would always be my first choice. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Try site 59, they have some incredible deals for this weekend. I was looking and dreaming at them a few hours ago.

I am Vegased out... Well... I was about to burn some un needed Delta Miles to Aruba.. But I thought too far.. So we picked up an Efare to PHX of $125. No upgrades http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif Scored a free Saturday at The Phoenician, and a great rate for a night at the Hilton Villas. So we are doing a weekend in Scottsdale, and not spending too much money. I am sad I didn't do the Suntrips $199 to HNL but that cost a week, and a coach plane ride. Also AS had a $249 to SJD, but missed that. I think Scottsdale is a perfect median... Thanks for the advice folks

Oh no the horrors of flying all the way to PHX without an upgrade! (Ok, easy for me to say not being the nonupgraded one). Have a great weekend. Enjoy the 135 degree heat!

Ryan will appreciate the Bay Area even more when he comes home from summer weather in Arizona. The fog was rolling in as I just drove home from Santa Clara. Don't think he'll see the fog in Arizona http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

I know what I am headed for.. Yet I have been to Palm Springs, and Singapore, Jakarta etc, so I think AZ won't be too bad. Personally I plan to sit by the pool all day long, and relax.. With the prices how they are it is worth it.. I just wish I could do it in Hawaii or Mexico or the carribean, if only I planned. Plus I get to try out my new Etrex Vista GPS on the flight. So far I have the max speed at 138mph on it, now I can bring it up to 500+ but I don't think anyone will believe that was achieved in an RX300. Well gotta go sleep, got a long HOT day tomorrow, it shouldn't be much different from out here, we have had 90+ heat here in Antioch. I find myself hanging out in SF more often these days..
